After recovering from breast cancer, Glynis and Eric Legrand created The Urban Tea Loft. Initially, the design included a retail tea shop primarily selling loose teas, tea accessories and related products and offering lite fare such as soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. Plans grew to include private rooms, a commercial kitchen, full bar, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food offerings garnered recognition from customers and the media. Attention was paid to the unique environment making the Loft comfortable for men and women of all ages. We innovate by using tea as a culinary ingredient by cooking with tea and tea oils, marinating some of our meats in tea, and using tea as a rub. We love special events and can provide food and tea for your parties or other events to enjoy at home. Our food is available for eat-in, carry out and catering. We can accommodate small or large events.
Yearly, we attend the World Tea Expo, a professional conference for producers, manufacturers, tea retailers and tea room owners. Eric and Glynis are Tea Certified by the Specialty Tea Institute. We provide tea education and are available to consult with customers by reservation on teas that will suit their flavor profiles and needs.
We are proud members of Arizona Local First and believe in supporting local businesses and our community. This is why we buy from local wholesale bakeries and suppliers for our goods and services. We truly believe small business is the backbone of our economy. We look forward to seeing you at The Loft!
